Retatrutide (LY3437943) is Eli Lilly's triple GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptor agonist. Phase 2 results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2023, and the Phase 3 program, called TRIUMPH, began the same year across obesity, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnoea and knee osteoarthritis. Phase 3 read-outs are expected through 2026, after which Lilly would need to file with each regulator separately.

Until the TGA evaluates and registers it, retatrutide cannot be marketed, prescribed or dispensed as a medicine in Australia. That process typically takes a year or more after filing, so the earliest plausible pharmacy availability is well after the trials finish.
