Ipamorelin (10mg)

Selective ghrelin-receptor (GHS-R1a) agonist pentapeptide. Ipamorelin is a five-amino-acid growth-hormone secretagogue that activates the ghrelin receptor. Among the GHRP class it is notable for selectivity: in the original characterisation it released growth hormone without the cortisol, prolactin or ACTH release seen with GHRP-6 and GHRP-2.

GH pulsatility: selective secretagogue action without cortisol release. Bone research: bone mineral density in rodent models. Gastric motility: post-operative ileus studies. Combination designs: paired with GHRH analogues. Raun et al. (Eur J Endocrinol 1998) described the selectivity profile in rats and pigs. A Phase 2 trial of ipamorelin for post-operative ileus was completed but not pursued. Preclinical work examines bone density and gastric motility.

Pharmacology studies reported a selective GH pulse without cortisol or prolactin release; rodent studies reported increased bone mineral density and gastric motility. No human body-composition trial has reported.

Reported events in the pharmacology and ileus studies were mild, including headache and flushing after dosing. Long-term data in humans are absent.

Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue with visceral-fat trial data; ipamorelin has no equivalent outcome trial.

Add about 2 mL of bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside of the vial and swirl gently; do not shake. 10mg in 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL. Refrigerate at 2–8 °C after reconstitution and use within 8–12 weeks. The calculator has this vial preset.
