Thymalin (10mg)

Polypeptide complex extracted from calf thymus. Thymalin is a mixture of low-molecular-weight polypeptides extracted from calf thymus, developed in the Soviet Union in the 1970s alongside the synthetic dipeptide Thymogen. Its literature comes largely from the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and concerns immune restoration in ageing.

T-cell differentiation: lymphocyte subset changes. Immunosenescence: ageing immune function. Geroprotection research: long-term cohort studies. Comparison with synthetic thymic peptides: thymogen and thymosin alpha-1. Khavinson's group reported reduced infection rates and mortality in elderly cohorts over multi-year follow-up, and rodent studies examine immune and thyroid endpoints.
